## The Day the Chicken Bones Arrived

The second I opened the Amazon box, I was bracing myself for that classic “dog treat funk.”

But honestly? These chicken‑wrapped bones don’t smell at all. I actually picked up the bag and double‑checked the label like, “Wait… these are for dogs, right?”

No awful odor, no weird residue, nothing. Just three chihuahuas staring at me like I was holding the Holy Grail.

Gus, of course, marches straight to his talking buttons and starts his routine:

> “BONE. BONE. BONE. YES.”

> (Pause)

> “MORE. BONE.”

He knows. 😅

## Taste Test (According to the Tiny Food Critics)

I hand out the bones:

- Gus grabs his and goes full gremlin in the corner.

- Chica Lulu prances off like she’s carrying a priceless treasure.

- Ollie drops his on the floor, stares at it for a second, and then realizes it’s chicken and goes ALL IN.

Here’s the hilarious part:

They are absolutely obsessed with the chicken wrapped around the bone… and could not care less about the actual bone.

The routine every single time:

1. They carefully, surgically, nibble every last bit of that chicken wrap off the outside.

2. They spit the now naked bone onto the floor.

3. Gus trots back to his buttons and hits:

   > “MORE. BONE. WANT. MORE.”

4. Chica Lulu sits next to the discarded bone like, “This is empty. Try again, human.”

5. Ollie just wanders around proudly carrying his bare bone like it’s still the best thing that ever happened… but if you offer another one with chicken? He’ll drop it in a heartbeat.

So from the dogs’ point of view:

- Chicken: 15/10

- Actual bone: “Background prop.”

## Human Review: Pros & Cons

### What I love

- No smell

Truly. I can open the bag without my entire kitchen smelling like a pet store. Huge win.

- High excitement factor

The second they see the bag, it’s chaos in the best way. These are “special treat” level in their minds.

- Good for picky pups

Chica Lulu is picky, but she demolishes the chicken off these like she’s being filmed for a commercial.

- Perfect for Gus’s talking buttons game

When he hits “BONE”, this is the one I feel confident grabbing because I know it’ll actually motivate him.

### The funny downside

If you’re hoping for:

- A long‑lasting chew

- Something they’ll gnaw on for a while

…my three chihuahuas respectfully disagree.

They only want the chicken. The bones end up:

- Scattered around the house

- Completely clean

- Totally ignored after the chicken has been chewed off. We do put the “leftovers” in a coffee cup where they will occasionally scavenge one when I’ve told them “no, they’ve had enough for one day”.

I basically have a tiny crew of chicken strip thieves who use the bones like edible plates and then demand refills.

## Final Verdict (From Our Chihuahuas)

- Gus:

  “BUTTON SAY: MORE. BONE. YES.”

- Chica Lulu:

“Exquisite chicken. Would like infinite supply, please.”

- Ollie:

“Chicken good. Bone… also good if it means more chicken later?”

From the humans:

- If you want a clean, no‑smell, insanely appealing chicken-wrapped treat, these are fantastic.

- If you’re buying them specifically for the bone chewing part… just know the chicken might steal the whole show.

Would we reorder?

Gus has already answered that with his buttons:

“MORE. MORE. MORE.”
